In loving memory of Champ
Champ was born into the loving McAvoy family - Brad, Andy, Ollie & Harry. He made a promising start with his training - being an excellent wicket keeper to their two boys who loved their cricket. However, Brad had a great opportunity to move to London and unfortunately Champ did not fit in a suitcase, or comfortably into an apartment. The family then had to make the difficult decision to leave 5 year old Champ with their good friends the Wright Family - Jason, Rani, Fletcher and Nathan who already had their own beagle Jessie. Jess quickly taught Champ the benefit of hanging onto the ball, rather than bothering to return it and any promising training aspirations were quickly squashed. However, Champ is super proud of his more successful guide dog cousins.
While he tried his best, 13.5 year old Champ unfortunately didn’t make it to Christmas this year, but we do know that Champ would love nothing more than for you to help the Guide Dogs with their 2025 Christmas Appeal. Thank you!
