I'm fundraising for Guide Dogs Queensland
Rowena Dowling is totally blind , she currently uses a long cane for mobility, she has had several guide dogs in the past and is currently on the waiting list for a replacement guide dog.
Rowena is planning to ride her 10-year-old quarter horse mare "Ice" On the bicentennial national Trail, a distance of 5330 km from Cooktown in North Queensland, to Healesville in Victoria, travelling the length of the great dividing range.
With 27 Queenslanders currently on the wait list, hoping to meet their guide dog soon and many more hundreds of Queenslanders accessing support and services offered by Guide Dogs Queensland.
It is only with the support of the community that Guide Dogs can continue to give Queenslanders with vision loss the opportunity for freedom and independence. That is why I have chosen to put my PAW UP and fundraise for Guide Dogs.
Your donations will give more Queenslander’s the opportunity to meet their guide dog sooner and shorten the ever growing waitlist. It will also go towards providing vital support and services across the community to those impacted by vision loss.
Every dollar counts towards helping me reach my goal so any SUPPAWT you can offer will be PAWSOME! Thank you for any contributions you can make to my fundraising journey together we can create a change.
Go get 'em, gal. You are amazing!
