About Youth Ambassador.

Inspire change in your community!

Unleash your PAWtential

The Youth Ambassador program gives kids the opportunity to go on a journey with Guide Dogs.  Through this program kids learn all about the amazing work Guide Dogs undertake in the community while getting involved in some creative fundraising and earning some great rewards along the way.

It's simple - register online, take up the fundraising challenge, get your school involved and you too could be cuddling pups like Mimi!

The people you help

When you become a Youth Ambassador, your suppawt will help provide vital services, to people of all ages with low vision right across Queensland. People just like nine year old Elijah, who, with the right support, tools and training can be independent and live a life without limits.

Be a SuPAWhero like Vienna

Being a Guide Dogs Youth Ambassasdor gives you the opportunity to make a difference in your community. By promoting awareness, inclusivity & raising funds to support vital services, you are making a positive impact in the lives of people living with low vision and blindness.

'Hi, my name is Vienna. When my Grandy lost her sight in one eye, I noticed how difficult she found a lot of her everyday tasks. She lost some of her confidence, stopped driving and even struggled to read her books. So, I decided I wanted to become a Youth Ambassador for Guide Dogs Queensland to help people with vision loss.

Guide Dogs Queensland is so important because they help support all people with vision loss to achieve independence, inclusion, participation and wellbeing. The money we raise will help go towards training the cute Labradors that offer independence, security and companionship to those in need, as well as covering costs for vet bills, dog food, equipment and much more.'

Get Active

There are so many ways you can fundraise as part of the Youth Ambassador program. One of the most popular ways is by taking up an active challenge and having family & friends sponsor you.

This could be taking part in a fun run, committing to attend sporting games & practice for the season, completing a hike, taking on a ride or walking, running & swimming a specific distance.

We love seeing our Youth Ambassadors challenging themselves with new activities that their family & friends can support!

Inspiring Community

The Youth Ambassador program inspires kids to engage with their local community through taking on the challenge to unleash their PAWtential for Guide Dogs.

Whether it be sharing their journey with the school community or fundraising through the local bunnings, the program encourages our ambassadors to lead the way and spread the word about the support Guide Dogs offers Queenslanders.

How will you take part?

You can choose to take part as an individual Ambassador or gather your pack and get your school, sports team or friends together and join as a team.
